It took the passing of an old friend to get Zach Barron back together with his first love. When he pulled into the old rickety funeral parlor he had no idea his days of peace and quiet would be shattered in more ways than one. The soft voice of Nicky standing behind him gave him chills down his spine. Time couldn't shadow the enchantment he felt in his heart. After a brief re-acquainting, Zach agrees to escort Nicky fo New Jersey for a wedding. When Nicky and the bride fail to return from the beach, Zach explodes into action before something terrible happens. His search takes him to New York where he completely undermines an F.B.I. ongoing investigation. He endangers the lives of not only himself, but Nicky and the bride, the F.B.I. agents, and others as he stirs up a sleeping terrorist cell. They manage to escape driving to Annapolis, Maryland only to realize they are the hunted. Terrible consequences await them. Zach has to keep vigilant and rely on his training and a sharp mind to keep them alive.
